Penn Station

A few weeks ago I went to Penn Station with my documentary class to draw on location, it is a good place to capture people on the go.

Senior Showcase

  I'm graduating next month (still in shock the semester is almost over) and we had judging for our senior showcase last week.  I am extremely happy that I got two pieces into the show, one of them I literally finished the day before judging.

"tweaked" maneater

I wanted to clean up and tweak this piece. The sky was not at the same level as the figures were.  I darkened the sky and decided to dry brush this time. I think it helps to pop her out more.

There are some interesting people on the LIRR and I did not exaggerate their hair styles (much).

Flat-Iron building

On St. Patrick's Day, my class went down by the Flat-Iron building. It was a beautiful day and I definitely want to go back there to draw!

I started trying out watercolor for my Documentary class since I've been using pen a lot lately.  My teacher prefers me working in watercolor, so I guess I'm sticking to it.
